Licensed Professional Counselor in Knoxville, TN

Hello. I am a licensed professional counselor in Knoxville, TN, offering individual mental health therapy for adults, ages 18–70. At Becki Livingston Therapy, I provide LGBTQ+ affirming care and currently have availability for telehealth (online) appointments. I am also a certified grief, loss, and trauma therapist and a certified EMDR specialist. Additionally, I have been recognized as the 2025 Smoky Mountain Counseling Association LPC of the Year.

Often, what brings people to therapy is a growing sense of depression, anxiety, stress, or difficulty adjusting to life’s changes—whether in relationships, identity, or self-worth. These feelings may be symptoms of something deeper that deserves gentle attention. As a licensed professional counselor, I want to walk beside you as you return to yourself and reconnect with your inner strength. I specialize in helping clients navigate grief, loss, and trauma.

Compassionate Therapy

Sometimes, grief is manageable—until it isn’t. Maybe you’re doing okay until one final straw tips the balance. Or maybe you’ve been stuck for a long time, unsure how to move forward. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the empowering perspective that we are not in control of what happens to or around us, but we are in control of how we allow things to affect us and how we respond. That choice holds power.

By exploring new ways of thinking, feeling, and being, we can move from surviving to truly living. We can begin to heal the parts of ourselves that have ached for so long we’ve forgotten how it feels not to hurt. There is hope. It can get better. You don’t have to do this alone.

If you’re looking for compassionate therapy in Knoxville or anywhere in Tennessee, I offer virtual counseling tailored to your needs. Whether you’re navigating trauma, grief, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to help you heal, grow, and reconnect. Schedule an appointment today with Becki Livingston, LPC.
